If you like modern architecture, you will probably enjoy a stroll at Slotsbryggen (“The Castle’s Dock”). It is located along a small harbour, in place of the old castle. In front of the cinema (Nordisk Film Biografer), you can see what’s left of it.

In my opinion, Slotsbryggen could have been much cosier and lacks “something”. There are 2 cafés, Fund Bar and the Cafe 3kanten, but no shops. This is typically the type of location that should be praised by locals and tourists, but unfortunately this does not happen, the docks are lifeless most of the time. However, Slotsbryggen is worth seeing, thanks to the spectacular view on the Guldborgsund straight.
